Subject: ACARA's consultation on draft senior secondary Australian Curriculum for Engish,

From: john.brooks@tqa.tas.gov.au

Date: May 15, 2012

The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has released the draft senior secondary Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and History for national consultation. Feedback can be provided until 20 July 2012.

The draft curriculum is available on the Australian Curriculum consultation website at:
http://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/consultation .
You will need to register onto this website to read, review, download, or print the draft curriculum.

Following consultation, all feedback will be analysed and used to revise the draft curriculum before it is published as the Senior Secondary Australian Curriculum: English, Mathematics, Science and History in December 2012, following Ministerial endorsement.

ACARA encourages and welcomes the involvement of all educators and the wider community during the consultation process. Please take the opportunity to review the draft curriculum and provide feedback on the senior secondary Australian Curriculum for English, Mathematics, Science and History.

PLEASE NOTE that this consultation is a separate process from the project that the TQA is currently undertaking for redeveloping TQA Maths, English and Science courses, which involves drawing upon ACARA-developed content and achievement standards where relevant. Details of this TQA project are on our website at:
http://www.tqa.tas.gov.au/10170 .
