Subject: TCEA Applications Closing 31 May 2017

From: execofficer@tasc.tas.gov.au

Date: May 4, 2017

Dear Principal and TLO,

The Tasmanian Certificate of Educational Achievement (TCEA) is a quality assured certificate issued by the Office of Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC) that describes achievement through narrative.

The TCEA is designed for students whose learning and achievement is often not adequately recognised by standardised forms of certification.

The TCEA provides a fair and just account of a students senior secondary learning success and is governed by TASC agreed conventions and guidelines.

The TCEA is complementary to the Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) and is issued by TASC at the same time as the TCE and the Qualifications Certificate. Students may receive all three of these certificates, if eligible.

I encourage you to consider any students at your school or college who may be eligible to achieve a TCEA.

More information about the TCEA is available on the TASC website.

Applications and supporting evidence such as students achievement against the goals in their individual learning plan are required by 31 May 2017.

Kind regards

Katrina Beams
