Subject: External Assessment Specifications

From: enquiries@tasc.tas.gov.au

Date: March 28, 2017

TASC is currently finalising 2017 External Assessment Specifications (EAS) for both exam specifications and folio guidelines. Once revised, the EAS for each subject go through a process of quality assurance involving Curriculum Teacher Leaders and Chief Marking Examiners. This is then reviewed by a TASC convened panel which includes representatives from the Department of Education, and Catholic and Independent schools.

In 2017 the review panels will meet on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 April. We anticipate publishing all EAS on the TASC website at the end of Term 1. The review panels are a new initiative to ensure greater rigor and consistency of approach in the development of the EAS. This is a very important part of the quality assurance process for TASC accredited courses and we appreciate your patience and support.
