ATTENTION TCE COORDINATORS AND TEACHERS OF SOSE

STUDIES OF SOCIETY AND ENVIRONMENT


New and revised syllabuses within World and Environment, and History and Ideas have been accredited for implementation in schools and colleges from 2005.

The syllabuses may be viewed at http://www.tqa.tas.gov.au/0827

Syllabus supplements which contain the support material are still being developed. The draft support materials may be viewed at http://www.tqa.tas.gov.au/0573

A reminder to SOSE teachers that expressions of interest to attend Professional Learning to support the implementation of the SOSE syllabuses must be returned to TQA by 1st October 2004. Forms may be downloaded from the link below.

The Tasmanian Qualifications Authority acknowledges the contributions of all teachers towards the development of the new and revised syllabus materials for SOSE.
