Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) Audit of the TQA

AUQA is the principal national quality assurance agency in higher education with the responsibility of providing public assurance of the quality of AustraliaÕs universities and other institutions of higher education, and assisting in enhancing the academic quality of these institutions. A large part of its function is periodic auditing of higher education providers and of approving agencies such as the TQA.

The TQA was audited by AUQA in early 2007 in relation to its higher education functions. A copy of the audit report is available from the AUQA website.

The TQA was very satisfied with the outcomes of the audit and has followed up on the recommendations. A report of what we have done subsequent to the audit is now available. We welcome comments on the audit and the follow-up process.
