Housing and Design HDS315108 has a complexity of TQA level 3 and a size value = 15 [contributes to the calculation of Australian Tertiary Admission Ranks (ATAR)]. Housing and Design develops students' knowledge, skills and capabilities to respond to design problems relating to indoor and outdoor living spaces at the highest level of complexity offered by TCE courses. Emphasis is placed on developing the architectural design skills of imagining, representing and testing design ideas, and application of research strategies to support this progress. Students will consider environmental, aesthetic, functional, social, technological and ergonomic influences and impacts within a range of housing and design projects.
The accreditation period for this course is from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2012. The following processes will be facilitated by the TQA to ensure there is:
Processes - the Authority gives course providers feedback about any systematic differences in the relationship of their internal and external assessments and, where appropriate, seeks further evidence through audit and requires corrective action in the future. Providers are required to document effective procedures for between-class within-provider comparability of internal assessment, including a procedure for students to seek review of their assessment decisions. The external assessment structure for this Level 3 course is as follows: * A 2 hour written examination paper that assesses criteria 3 and 4. * An Investigation Project (folio) that assesses criteria 6, 7 and 8.
